VITICULTURE AND OENOLOGY
Descriptive card
The Viticulture and Oenology degree program is designed to prepare technicians with specific skills in the grapevine and wine sector, qualified to practice the profession of Oenologist in Italy and Europe, in compliance with the Italian law n. 129 issued on April 10, 1991. According to a modern conception of the production process in the wine sector, the educational program includes base scientific disciplines, general agronomy applied to viticulture, disciplines inherent to the management and control of grape transformation, and disciplines related to the knowledge of the economic and regulatory aspects of the wine sector. Graduates will earn necessary skills to deal with all the main aspects of the supply chain, which goes from vineyard planting to wine marketing. This interdisciplinary program incorporates practical activities and technical visits as integral components of all courses. It comprises a total of 180 ECTS credits distributed over three years. During the third year, a 10 CFU external traineeship is required. The study plan also includes credits to linguistic and digital skills, student-selected courses, and a final examination.
Admission Requirements
The program has a limited enrollment number. The ranking list of the applying students will be drawn up based on the grade reported for the high school diploma in decreasing order. A separate ranking list will be drawn up for non-EU citizens and residents abroad according to the same criteria as above. The call for admission and enrolment regulation for the Degree Course in Viticulture and Enology is published on the University website (www.unina.it) and on the Department of Agricultural Sciences (www.agraria.unina.it).
