General Information
The educational objectives of the 2-year Master’s degree program in Forestry and Environmental Sciences include the acquisition of scientific and methodological knowledge and skills necessary for employment in the forest and environmental sectors. The course fosters the development of technical and professional skills necessary to work in the forest sector, and more generally, to develop and implement strategies for managing, protecting, and monitoring terrestrial ecosystems, natural resources, and biodiversity. The course’s teaching strategy largely relies on hands-on experience and practicals, so the students spend much time working in the field or laboratory. The degree includes a total of 89 ECTS credits. The remaining 31 credits include student choice exams (12 credits), scientific English (4 credits), and the final dissertation (15 credits).

Admission Requirements
Bachelor’s degree obtained according to the Italian Ministry Decree 509/1999, or a 3-year university diploma or equivalent recognized foreign degree. Specific requirements (a degree in the L-25 or L-20 classes or at least 39 ECTS credits in specific disciplines) and adequate student preparation are also needed. Related courses may also be accepted. Requirements and preparation are evaluated through an interview If requirements are not met, students must pass specific exams to acquire missing credits. Proficiency of at least B1 in an EU language, typically English, is necessary.
